Looks like we will have great weather, tide movement and fishing conditions for the first DBRC tournament of the year. Haven't seen many reports from the area we will be fishing, but maybe that's just how competitive we are. I don't mind sharing a report from Good Friday when I went out to scout a few areas well away from the popular off limits area (North of Catfish Bay to the Reserve). I spent some time in four different areas and found reds in each one. In one spot in particular my partner and I saw no less than 15 reds in a 200 yard stretch of marsh. We hooked 8 and were able to put five in the boat in less than 90 minutes. Two of the five were very respectable tournament reds and two we missed were even better!!! The area is HOT and filled with reds. With the quality of fishermen in this tourney, I believe we can expect some spectacular two fish stringers. Good luck to all fishermen and be safe on the water.
