Took my honey fishing Saturday, Fished in the pass first behind G.I. and the bridge. We had started targeting Bull Reds over in the pass behind Cigars, managed getting a few to the boat but eneded up breaking off at the boat. Stayed on the island and watched the game. Launched Sunday at Bridgeside and headed back over to the channel behind Cigars and managed to land 5 bulls. One I had hooked and was fighting for a while decided he was still hungry and went after a mullet another boat was tossing out. I did'nt realized this fish was hooked by another angler until my reel started screaming as they pulled on the fish. After about 15min we pulled along side the boat and saw that we both had hooked the same fish and still managed to bring it in the boat for a few quick pics, before releaseing. It was really amazing I thought I had a good 20#red then all of sudden it turned into about 200#. Thanks to the guys in that boat for their help w/ the fish. I was fishing w/ a St. Croix med action rod and curado reel with 15#Trilen big game and 25# flurocarbon leader. Here are a few pics of our fish. You can catch grill sized reds 22-24" at the bridge carolina rigged.
